This notice explains, in general terms, how the Churchill Investment Competition handles information provided by participating teams. It applies to this website, the registration form, the team portal and any material teams submit.
We collect the information teams give us when they register and take part: team and school names, participant names and email addresses, an optional contact phone number, country and expected graduation year, an optional profile photo, and the materials teams submit during the competition. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are never collected or stored by us.
We use this information to run the competition: to verify eligibility, communicate with teams, administer entries and entry fees, judge submissions and publish results. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
The competition is aimed at secondary-school students. By registering, the team captain confirms that a parent or legal guardian of every participant under 18 has reviewed this notice and consented to that participant's information being collected and used as described here. A parent or guardian may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at the email address below.
Information is stored with reputable third-party service providers (hosting, database, email and payment processing) that process it on our behalf to provide their services to us, and we take reasonable measures to protect it. Competition organizers and judges may access team and submission details as needed to administer and judge the competition. We may also disclose information where required by law.
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to run the competition, administer results and prizes, and meet any legal or accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
You can request a copy of your team's information, correct it, or ask us to delete it, and account holders can delete their own account from the account page. For any privacy question or request, email info@thechurchillfund.org.
We may update this notice from time to time. The version published on this page is the current one, and continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised notice.
